I’ve been exhibiting the tell-tale signs of too much time on these forums: a growing irritability and lack of charity with other posters; wasting time at work; obsessive arguments about unimportant matters; and so on.

So I’m officially announcing that I’m taking a break from these forums. I won’t promise never to come back, because I’ve seen people make such vows and they usually break them. But I have a lot of more important things in my life right now, and I need to focus.

I wish everyone here many blessings, and I appreciate the good discussions I’ve had with you all.

Edwin: I hope you’ll be back soon. Took a six-week break myself a few months ago. It was a good thing.

GKC: You’re going to have to expand your services! 😃

I hope you’ll be back soon. Your opinions are of value. I especially appreciated the PM answer you sent me regarding the differences between Evangelicals & Fundamentalists… a difference I knew existed, but couldn’t explain.

I enjoy reading your posts, so I’m sorry to see you go. Hope with a little time and perspective you’ll feel inclined to join the discussions again.

Edwin - I too will miss your comments. There are some people around here that when I see they have made a post, I just know that it’s going to be enriching for me to read it. You are definitely one of those people (along with GKC, Church Militant and Mystophilus, to name just a few). I agree with GKC that your perspective has been invaluable on these forums, and the forums won’t be as good without you. But I understand why you would need a break - I will probably be taking a break myself sometime soon! God bless!
 
As someone who has taken several vacations from the Internet I do understand but hope you will drop in again as your priorities straighten out and you are better able to juggle Internet activity with real-life concerns. As a convert to Episcopalianism, I have learned tremendously from your posts here and really will miss your insights. God bless and please do return when you can!
