Gospel for Last Sunday - 24 April 2016 - 5th Sunday of Easter

The Gospel reading for last Sunday was John 13:31-33A, 34-35. Why was the second part of verse 33 omitted? The verse reads:

“My children, I will be with you only a little while longer. You will look for me, and as I told the Jews, ‘Where I go you cannot come,’ so now I say it to you.”

The part following “You will look …” is omitted.

Any reason why?
 
With no further research, I offer only an opinion based on the NABRE footnotes on the US Conference of Bishops Web Site. Jesus speaks similar words in Chapter 7:33 and Chapter 8:21 and does not explain that he will tell them, he simply speaks the words.

For a reading, the the teaching of the lesson, those words neither add to or take away from the message, so they may have been deemed unimportant to the liturgy of the day.

Again, just a guess, no theological basis for this guess.
