I’ve watched this, and it is my favorite depiction of Jesus. I’ve found that I like this version more than any other, even over the 1977 “Jesus of Nazareth”, the 1979 “The Jesus Film”. Has anyone else seen this version and cared for it as much as I do? I’ve included a link to the full movie. Henry Ian Cusick stars as Jesus. I really love his depiction of Him, because this actor has portrayed Jesus as very real, gentle, kind, yet strong…and, I will shamelessly add, I think he makes a very handsome Jesus. Does anyone else think so? I feel like a schoolgirl
But it’s true. Also to add, I like it when Jesus is depicted as thin, lean muscled, and with longish tangly hair that often blows across His face or in His eyes. I’m not falling in love with Him the way a woman does an ordinary man, but whenever I think of His looks, I do picture that He looked this way. And clothed in the long sleeved white robe, hands outstretched. I think if He really did look this way, He was a beautiful man. Thought of in a chaste way, of course.
Here is the movie, in case those of you who haven’t seen it are interested. Also, I would welcome any critical comments on this movie, if you have seen it, as well. I just felt like talking about it.
