Gossip with important issues?

Hi there
I was just wondering if this is considered gossip:
A family with financial difficulties are trying to figure out if persons x and y are not doing their jobs to help them, or are deliberately scheming against them.
Would it be a sin of gossip if one would add in to the conversation with things like ‘I reckon this person is up to something’ ?
If so, how can a person or a family with an important issue discuss such things without gossiping?

Thanks in advance

I would say if the other really meant to help to give advice, not because they want to gossip, and everything they say is the truth, with evidence or legitimate analysis, then it is Ok.

People can help out of concern, love, charity. Not because the people needed help want to believe they are OBLIGATED to help them.
I would hope family members would step up but if there is a history of financial carelessness, etc. I can see why some would be reluctant to throw good money after bad habits.

There’s really not enough info here to make a call on it though.

This is a concerning attitude. One has to wonder how it got to be the “jobs” of person x and y to help them?

Also, I do not see how it is relevant if anyone really is "deliberately scheming "? If the family is in distress, blaming others is not going to help them. Even if others are at fault for not helping, how is finding fault with them going to change the situation?

The family needs to put faith in God, and trust that God will deliver them.

Philippians 4:19 “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

Matthew 6:33
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well.

Jesus teaches us not to worry about what we are to eat, to wear, etc. When we seek first His Kingdom, everything we need will be added to our lives.

Use the opportunity to put the focus where it needs to be.

Person’s x and y are professionals. One is a broker and the other is a lawyer. I wish I was making this up but unfortunately this situation is real. And the family is very careful with their money.
The discussion started when the family met with a barrister (another lawyer or something) who appears very genuine for good reasons. And when the family discussed about evidences of potential malpractice from the other men, it does get pretty passionate because they are worried.
But the point of this thread is at what point does genuine concern become gossip?

But at the end, I agree. We must place our trust in God.
