Got fired need to get back up

I got fired today, no big deal it was only a part time job, and my heart wasn’t in it too much, my hopes is that you guys can pray that i wouldn’t become a lazy potatoe after i got fired. The plus side to this is that i can concentrate on school more, so i am glad.

Just pray that i wouldn’t become lazy and unproductive but be proactive, social, and find friends (especially at college), also my dad is shakey on letting me tell my family about my current sitatuation on being fired, because he is afraid that my family(who are loud mouthes sorta) will tell everyone. Pray that they wouldn’t if i do tell them, and that i can ensure my trust in them and pray that my dad would accept the fact that my family wouldn’t hurt me like that. If they do its fine as well but i would prefer not to.

Also please pray that i would hopefully find a job/volunteer work…for my major ,…i would like to be an unpaid intern i think its called… just so i can get experiance on the field,probably in the summer…But anyway that is way later just pray that now i would be very social and active and also stay fit.

Prayers for your intentions said. I certainly don’t hope that you don’t become a lazy potatoe!~ 😃 I pray that you may utilize this time for the goals you have noted and that your family if they find out will be understanding. You’re not the first one to be fired in this world and it could lead to better opportunities for you.

I know someone who.got fired at least 6 times in one year. Sort of ridiculous that. Anyway, they went on to get a really great job & do v.well in their career (the same one they were earlier fired from). Just keep moving forward.

O Saint Joseph, we pray to you for those who are out of work, for those who want to earn their living or support their families.

You who are the patron of workers; grant that unemployment may vanish from our ranks; that all those who are ready to work may put their strength and abilities in serving their fellowmen and earn a just salary.

You are the patron of families; do not let those who have children to support and raise lack the necessary means. Have pity on our brothers and sisters held down in unemployment and poverty because of sickness or social disorders. Help our political leaders and captains of industry find new and just solutions. May each and every one have the joy of contributing, according to his abilities, to the common prosperity by an honorable livelihood. Grant that we may all share together in the abundant goods God has given us and that we may help underprivileged countries. Amen.

For Help in Trials

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. That’s difficult.

You said you didn´t much like your job, anyway. I’d like you to consider looking for a job you WOULD like. Start there.

What do you LOVE? Try to work in something related to that.

Insofar as friends are concerned, does your college have a Newman Center? Well, you have an interest in the Catholic faith, and besides being students, your faith would be something major in common.

What about some clubs, groups.

If you would like help sorting out what you love to do, your work, the campus career counseling office should be able to help you, there. They even have aptitude and interest testing, I believe, know about jobs, can maybe guide you, even for a part-time job that will help your career.

I believe that sometimes these kinds of things are actually blessings in disguise, because now, you are free to do your real work.

Prayer for Those Who Have Lost Their Job

Lord, I am coming to you today with a heavy heart
Filled with regret over the past, and anxiety for the future.
I am out of work, and my finances are in deep trouble.
I have made many mistakes. Help me to forgive myself, and
others, so that I may make amends with all concerned.
Grant me peace of mind, so I can fill my life with your
goodness and grace.
Guide me toward a good job where I may fulfill my needs
as a better and wiser person.
Thank you Lord, for listening to me and helping me today.
Life is not always easy, but I will strive to remember that You
are always there to help me
As you are right in this moment. Thank you!

I am expanding on what i like to do atm, its very hard for me to decide, i like taking care of animals, but i want to be out in the wilderness as well. In like a forest setting. Idk i have to some thinking. But as far as the newman center went, there wasn’t much people there like me, or what i am saying is that they weren’t very religious, they were even somewhat mean to an old disabled man, i helped him and forgive them completely, but still, its a little mean. That being said, i just don’t think the newman center is the best thing for me.
