Got My US Adult Catechism!

Just got a copy (finally) of the new USCCB US Catholic Catechism for Adults! Looks pretty good and informative! I like the layout, too!
 
So can you give us a review when you have the time? Hearing all the bad press the USCCB gets I am hesitant to order it, even though I know a few bad seeds don’t make them all bad.

So far it seems pretty orthodox. If this hold through the book, based on it’s comprehensive content, I’d say this and an order of mass would make a great deal for a new Catholic or RCIA candidate.👍

Quite a thick book for $25. I wanted to hold out for the CD version, but it’s $60.😦
 
I’m still debating whether I should buy that new USCCB Catechism…

The Catholic Catechism by John Hardon
The Catechism of the Council of Trent
The Faith Explained by Leo Trese
Basics of the Faith-A Catholic Catechism by Alan Schreck
Father Connell’s Confraternity Edition Baltimore Catechism #3, from 1949 (brand new reprint, love this catechism),
LIFE IN CHRIST catechism by Kilgallon from ACTA publishers
Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church
and
Christ Among Us by Wilhelm (which I really should just burn)

My only issue is How Many Catechisms Do I Really Need???

I hear you. My list is similar. Each offers its own enlightenment, though.
 
Haha, save the money and buy a non-Catholic a Catechism. 😃
