Was diagnosed a few months ago; evidently my diabetes and hypertension were the cause. I can’t seem to get the hypertension under control. Its very difficult to get a prognosis from my doctor or from an internet search what long term effects will be. It does appear that I am destined for kidney dialysis in the near future, should I not get my hypertension under control. I have read that the life expectancy for those starting dialysis is five years.
I have never been married. I do date but nothing serious in the past few years. In light of my health situation, would it be wise that I continue to find a spouse? Who would want to marry me if my life expectancy was only another 5 or 10 years?! I am thinking that I should give up on dating and just focus on my job/spirituality/current relationships. Is this a noble approach?
