I have read that the way we receive God’s grace is through the body and blood. I have also read that’s where we get our strength. To me that is why the Mass is so important. I have just lately got the opportunity to get there regularly weekly. It’s great. I have felt the weakness from lack of consuming the host. Is this were we get our grace? The graces from the rosary are no substitute are they? I mean for the grace from the transubstantiated wafer.

I went to confession and said to my confessor that I was proud that I was able to stay away from things a little more than I was. being my sinful hangups I have. He corrected me and said that was the sin of pride. He said we do nothing on our own. It is the Grace of God that has allowed me to withstand. I reconsidered my point of view. I guess that would be actual grace then.

As that apologetic text revealed, there are mainly I guess two graces we recognize. Mortal sin kills sanctifying grace venial sin doesn’t bother it if I read right. But what about Love? Venial sin I have been told wounds sit. But we “sin daily” as the scriptures say. Mortal sin kills love. So are people capable of what they call “love”? If it’s a gift we are given and we didn’t have it; how can you love? 🤷
