My grandmother recently was moved to a nursing home when before she’d lived at home her entire life… She is adjusting… it is difficult…

Prayers for her …

My other grandmother has been in a nursing home for some time… and is starting to be unable to hear and speak over the phone properly… she does not like being there at all…

Prayers for her…

Please.

Ave Maria… Ave Maria… Ave Maria…

Hail Mary, full of grace. . . the Lord is with thee. . .

Under Thy Patronage
Sub tuum praesidium
from the Divine Liturgy (c. 250 A.D.)

We fly to your patronage,
O holy Mother of God;
despise not our petitions
in our necessities,
but from all dangers
deliver us always,
O glorious and blessed Virgin.

St. Joseph, ora pro nobis.

:gopray: In my prayers now, Shin…

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

I will pray for both of your Grandmothers Shin.

Sincerely,

Prayers for you and your Grandmothers. Maybe more a poem but with beautiful intentions and for the peace and grace your Grandmothers may find comforting at this time.

I Said A Prayer For You Today
by Frank J. Zamboni

I said a prayer for you today
And know God must have heard.
I felt the answer in my heart
Although He spoke no word!

I didn’t ask for wealth or fame
(I knew you wouldn’t mind).
I asked him to send treasures
Of a far more lasting kind!

I asked that He be near you
At the start of each new day;
To grant you health and blessings
And friends to share your way!

I asked for happiness for you
In all things great and small.
But it was for His loving care
I prayed the most of all!

Shin,

May our dear Lord hold your grandmothers close to His Most Sacred Heart and provide them with peace and comfort as they try to deal with growing older and their nursing home situations.

And, God bless you for being a loving and caring granddaughter.

Peace,
Kathleen
