The NAB (actually, there are several versions floating around) is a dynamic-equivalence type translation from the original languages.
FYI,

Before the Holy See would approve the current NAB-based Lectionary, that was one of the verses that required modification.

So if we hear Luke 1:28 read at Mass, (like tomorrow at the Feast of the Annunciation) we would hear:

“Hail, Full of Grace”

usccb.org/nab/032607.shtml

So the NAB translation of Luke 1 was not good enough for use at Mass, it had to be changed first.

Duly noted. Would you care to take a guess a what the actual Aramaic words that were used in order for Luke to use “Caire, kecaritomene”?
I don’t know, but in a previous discussion on this [frequently repeated] topic, someone who was familiar with the Peshitta told me (in answer to my query) that the Peshitta handles “kecaritomene” with words that translate into English as “full of grace.” For what that’s worth.
