I would like to thank Jesus, Mary, Joseph and St. Anthony for helping me find a misplaced set of keys today. I was all set to start searching the house when I picked up a paper bag to throw it away - it was under some magazines right at my feet - and the keys were inside.
Thank you so much for helping me out, Jesus and friends!

I am grateful to the Lord for blessing US citizens with a country where Founding Fathers cared about freedom of religion. I pray for this gift for all people. 🎁

Happy birthday to the USA!!!

I am grateful today for making great progress in my new job, with God’s help.
And for being able to care for a daughter with significant mental health issues.
And for the lovely new puppy who will become part of our family on Sunday.

Thank you , Father , for the safe journey home from Liverpool .

Thank you for the few days I spent in Liverpool .

I saw much beauy there , especially in the Walker Art Gallery .

I was delighted to see one of my favourite artist’s work there , Holman Hunt’s The Triumph of the Innocents .

(Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)

Hunt began painting this subject while on a visit to the Holy Land in the 1870s. It shows Mary, Joseph and infant Jesus escaping to Egypt as King Herod kills all the first-born males or ‘innocents’ in Bethlehem, described in The Gospel of Matthew, 2: 16-18. Hunt originally intended to show just the Holy Family, but he later decided to add the martyred innocents. The Holy Family are surrounded by the souls of the children slain by Herod.
