Most of these posts JC are now being answered by the respondent saying that you need to ask this question of a priest in confession or some other venue where he can try to understand the totality of the circumstances surrounding your action. This could be a very minor sin, venial in nature, or it could be a rather serious question, not so much of eating in your room, but rather your relationship with your parents. Anonymous posters on an internet forum are not the best source for a good solid resolution of your situation. See a good priest and he can set your mind at ease.
