I doubt it will be long before Dr. Owens does a Scott Hann.

This guy is too open minded to stay protestant for very long.

Good stuff to have on hand. Question: What, why and where did the term “Judaizers” come from?

Acts 15:1 And certain men came down from ***Judea ***and taught the brethren, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”

The Judaizers were basically Jewish converts to Christianity who were teaching that we had to obey the Jewish Levitical Law for us to be saved. St. Peter, our first Pope, puts an end to this at the 1st Council of Jerusalem later in this very chapter (even though in practice St. Peter later falls into a similar mistake and is rightly reprimanded by St. Paul). James adds to Peter’s “infallible declaration on a matter of faith and morals” (which still stands to this day!) with a subsequent pastoral measure - abstaining from food sacrificed to idols. This pastoral measure is later rescinded by St. Paul.
