My former Anglo Catholic parish has just voted to enter the Ordinariate. A newer Anglican priest has instructed the members for months and it was up in the air.

Eighty two percent voted yes. I live in California and it is a pretty liberal state, even in many of the churches.

They also own the building so TEC can’t take it from them, although they tried to 30 years ago. It was one of the first parishes to go to Rome and help establish the Pastoral Provision, the forerunner of the Ordinariate.

Soon I will be able to visit or maybe attend, although it is around an hour’s drive. I am so happy that it will now be a Catholic church.

I give the Lord in His Divine Mercy praise for His mercy on this feast day.

Yours in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary

Dear Bernadette: Welcome home!!! How does it feel to be a member of the Tiber Swim team 2011? Please list your reasons for wanting to belong to the Catholic Church under the Ordinariate provision. Thanks.

Hi Atssina,

Thank you so much for the welcome home. I think my post wasn’t clear. I was speaking of my former parish, I have been Catholic for many years now, but a welcome is always appreciated.

If you go to www.atonementonline.com you can watch the video of the Mass that Rome approved for former Anglicans 28 years ago. This is being revised now that the Ordinariates are being established and hopefully it will be closer to the EF. I do miss the beautiful liturgy and music, however my parish is traditional and we sing the same hymns as when I was an Anglo Catholic. It is a very reverent and orthodox parish.

Thank you again for the welcome.

God Bless
