Hello, friends!
I wanted to tell you that I have been thinking about my options since graduation from the Nursing Assistant (CNA) program this past Monday. A friend (seminarian) told me about a possibility in working with the Little Sisters of the Poor in one of their residence homes and possibly getting an apartment with them to live in. Well, afterwards, I checked out their website and wanted to see which residence home was closest to me, and discovered the Sacred Heart Residence in Mobile, AL. This, to me, was a sign because I have a strong devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I then decided to check what Churches were available in that area, and came up with Little Flower Catholic Church! Again, I have a very strong devotion to St. Therese. So, I am wondering if this is where I am supposed to go. I haven’t written them yet because I am not quite sure what to say, but my friend says he knows the Mother Superior there, and could give me a recommendation, so, odds are, I could get a job there!
I’ve been looking for an opportunity to move out of my comfort zone and find my independence, which, I think will be very healthy for me. I am 25 years old, and still living with my parents, and I think it is time to move on. Plus, I believe it will be a great opportunity if I can experience life on my own before I become a nun (God-willing).
So, I am asking, what do you all think? Do you think I should write them a letter? If so, what should I say? Please send your prayers, and know that you are always in mine! God bless!
