The Song of Bernadette is probably my mothers favourite film. My mother was very close to her father and she gets very emotional during the scene where St Bernadette leaves her father to go to become a Nun.
It really is an incredibly touching movie. So many great scenes. What came to my mind is the scene where the priest gives Bernadette the holy card. It’s kind of a small scene and not a major plot point, but I found that a really effective way of conveying that Bernadette may not have been a “whiz kid” at theology, but her heart was in the right place. And it shows how those little acts of kindness can have tremendous impact on others. The Song of Bernadette is probably my mothers favourite film. I did watch it. It was great. I wish there was more movies like that. I do admit that not all the actors had the skill of acting. The best one was the Atheist professor but then he is a famous actor. Well maybe not Brad Pitt famous, but he has lots of movies and tv shows.God’s Not Dead.
GREAT movie. I really enjoyed it. It’s not a catholic movie, but it’s Christian. I think it’s well worth the time to watch. I bought it and I’m soooooo glad I did.
