Great uncle had a heart attack

Merland Conine had a heart attack and is in critical condition in ICU in south Florida.

His immediate sisters and brothers in Michigan are trying to decide what to do (re life support).

Please pray for his healing and for his soul.

I will keep him and all of their intensions in my prayers. Have they had a Priest visit him for the Annointing of the Sick?

Father of infinite mercy, look with unfathomable love upon Merland, preparing him, body and soul, for the eternity which You will for him. As he considers his life, and beyond, open his afflicted heart to the salvation offered by Your Son, Who made Himself vulnerable for our sake. Reveal Your compassion to his siblings, easing their burden of decision and increasing their faith. Graciously surround Merland with doctors, nurses and technicians who reflect Your Love to the world. Lord of healing, we pray that You magnanimously allow Merland time to amend his life, to repent of all that is unholy, and to reconcile himself to You. We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!

Life support was discontinued on Tuesday evening and Uncle Merland died on Wednesday morning.

He was an active member of an Episcopalian (sp) Church.

Please continue to pray for his soul and for all faithful departed.

Most merciful and loving Father, we lift the soul of Merland up to You, beseeching Your Divine Mercy. Look upon his faith, see his love of You, remember the countless times he kept Your commands and was pleasing in Your sight. May his spirit ascend to Your Heavenly Kingdom where he will spend eternity in joy. Strengthen his family and loved ones in this time of sorrow, drawing them together in the love of Christ. Remind them of Your promises, which are trustworthy and deserving of praise. We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen!
