I drew on some of these. These were already drawn.
I really love Victorian vintage stuff I know that you have to be covered in your dress.
I love those Elizebeth collars like you see in the paintings.
As for the head dress I actually love those things
I love Celine Dion wedding dress to.

God bless yall

What is “consentrated virginity?”\

Do you mean “consecrated virginity?” Or is “concentrated virginity” something else?

Thank you for clarifying.

Here’s a young woman who’s wearing what looks like a sweater and a skirt.

This woman wears a simple but more traditional wedding dress:

This woman wears what appears to be a simple cotton dress with a blue sash:

And before she makes her vow and is consecrated as a virgin, she will need to prostrate herself before the altar (priests and religious do this before ordination or vows):

I think it is wonderful and so beautiful that you are considering this vocation. I entered a monastery when I was just 19 (had just completed second year of college), and I remember daydreaming about the life – what it would be like to enter, what it would be like to wear the postulant’s veil, what it would be like to receive the full habit…

To be honest, my ideas were pretty romantic, and there’s nothing wrong with that. 😊

In reality, monastic life was more like a lot of prayer interspersed with laundry and dishes and gardening and sewing and classes and recreation and sisters who were annoying sometimes… It was just real life while wearing a long, hot habit.

I loved monastic life, but it wasn’t my vocation. And after two years, I left.

But even 30 years later, I remember those moments of daydreaming and longing. It is beautiful.

If God is calling you to be a consecrated virgin, the day of your consecration will be be beautiful. But remember that the day of consecration is the beginning of decades of real life in the real world – with traffic and jobs and bills to pay and laundry and dishes and taxes and lots of prayer, and family obligations and friends…

Daydreaming can be a really good thing. But don’t forget to daydream occasionally about the reality of everyday life you’ll be living for 50 or 60 or 70+ years after the rite of consecration. That’s where the vocation lies.

These are lovely, but quite a bit more elaborate than the typical dress for that ceremony…
It’s my understanding that the idea of a vocation usually includes some idea of living in simplicity.

Having a fancy decorated dress would seem to go against the simplicity concept.

Most of the dresses I have seen for this type of event are quite plain in the sense of lacking extra adornments, not using a lot of fabric, etc.

I think it happens the same with weddings and married life. Girls fantasize about the wedding dress, decorations, cake, locations etc. often forgetting that is a lifetime commitment with an other person and with a certain life style. Nobody thinks about poop and vomit to clean up, dealing with husband grumpiness, money worries or critical inlaws. Of course every vocations has is own beauty and grace but I think in our society is often hidden that in every commitment there is also sacrifice and faithfulness that should be there even when there is hardship. Often is all about romance and the feelings of the moment.

I think that I like the first one looks so pretty–here is a wedding dress I drew for my animated video.

I think that the dress with blue sash so pretty–so lovely white dress with blue sash.

I think that the consecrated virgin sounds really good — but if all girls becomes consecrated virgin then the world will no more children. 🙂

I think it’s very rare. The vast majority of people are not called to be consecrated virgins.

I think the designs are over the top, OP.
As others have said, simplicity is what is called for.
The designs have a bit of what some brides getting married do: it becomes more about the dress and everything else instead of the marriage. JMHO.

That already sounds like my life, but with more prayer.

I know about all the troubles I will have to face with. Some of you are saying that is a very big dress and yes it is. I am simple i am not trying to be prideful. it’s just I wanted something so old so vintage even covering my hair like how nuns cuts there hair as a symbol.
I thought I could cover my head as a symbol of being humble im trying to live a hidden life like St Therese
God bless all

You can find a lot of cute dresses in stores nowadays if you look for nice white dresses and not wedding dresses. The wedding markup is real.

If I ever get there though, I’m wearing blue. 😉

Ok. Let me ask you a question. The order you are choosing to become a consecrated virgin will require you to use for consacration a very plain dress. Are you still ok with that? There is something in the dresses you are choosing that reminds me of drama and theater. Are you looking for a life of service in Christ as a virgin or for a lifestyle dramatic and controversial? Just take one step at the time. Complete your preparation to enter the Catholic Church, receive the Sacraments, deepen the knowledge of your faith. If the vocation to consecrated virgin life is not just the enthusiasm of the newly convert you will find perseverance and a way to live it fully.

If this is for Canon 604 there is no order she is joining. Only her bishop and perhaps her spiritual director would be in the position to advise her about her dress. I saw some very fancy dresses, veils, and shoes when I did a google search. If someone can wear shoes festooned with silver glitter, I think a fancy dress is fine. Plus, some of these include parts that are the OP’s own designs, if I understood her posts. She has 10 years to discern a vocation as a CV; let her dream.

It was an hypothetical question. Just trying to point out that in consecrated virgin life (as in married life) it is not all about the dress. Hopefully she will have plenty of time to discern her vocation.
