What are the Greek and Latin responses in OF mass?
Latin is of course the language of the church, and the standard prayers of the Mass are still in Latin.

I don’t know if there is an official Greek vernacular version of the Mass, I don’t think there are enough Latin Rite people whose native language is Greek to actually authorize it.

Thank you! I thought there was part in Greek, but I was misspelling Some of it I guess

The penitential rite includes the Kyrie eleison and Christe eleison (Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy), those are Greek.

There is one other Greek text in the Mass, beside the Kyrie. On Good Friday, during the reproaches, there is the Trisagion.

Greek (First) Choir: Ágios o Theos. (Holy God)
Latin (Second) Choir: Sanctus Deus.
Greek (First) Choir: Ágios íschyros. (Holy, Mighty One)
Latin (Second) Choir: Sanctus fortis.
Greek (First) Choir: Ágios athánatos, eléison imas. (Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us)
Latin (Second) Choir: Sanctus immortális, miserére nobis.

The Trisagion may be familiar from the Divine Mercy chaplet, where is recited at the end.

It’s not a Mass though. It hasn’t been called “Mass of the Presanctified” since the 1955 Holy Week changes promulgated by Pius XII.

It is, however part of the official liturgy of the Church.

Mass of the Presanctified
Our parish has used “Mass of the Presanctified” every year in both the OF and EF. On Good Friday the liturgy is something resembling what was once called a “Dry Mass.”

Kyrie eleison and Christe eleison
The Greek part (option) is to use the Greek Kyrie Eleison, Christe Eleison instead of the vernacular Lord have Mercy, Christ have Mercy.

The Latin parts (option) is all over. A priest can say the parts he whispers in Latin (and many do), etc.

A great example of using Latin in the OF Mass is watch daily Mass on EWTN. They use Latin in the Mass a lot, and are a good example

God Bless.
