my understanding is that you need “the people”, but that a single person besides the priest is sufficient for byzantine practice. But I’d be hard pressed to come up with a citation . .

Sadly, we continually ignore a greater pandemic; where invisible people suffer and die quietly. Every year millions of children die needlessly from grinding poverty; starvation and preventable disease. As this is not contagious, we don’t have to treat it as serious; then panic and throw billions of dollars at the problem.

How can these starving children have faith?
