I am interested in hearing other opinions as well. I read that you can hide green scapulars in clothing or belongings of people and pray for their conversion. So…now I am really confused. I thought it was kinda a good idea.
If you hid it inside the frame, the frame would need to be rather wide since the scapular is a little over an inch wide. Then there is the ribbon that goes around the person’s neck. This can be wound around the scapular and taped down to the scapular.
Being in the frame and blessed, it would be a blessing to those that hung it up because a blessed object is something the demons do avoid. So that would help the buyer. This would take place without your prayers for them.
However, for the other promises to take place, that is, conversion/reconciliation to the faith, strengthening of the faith for one who already had the faith, and a happy death, you would be committing yourself to praying for each individual buyer. Now that would be great if you wish to do this. It would be alright if you didn’t but then these promises are based on trust in Mary and your prayers.
My personal opinion is that it is a good idea as long as they don’t see the scapular in the frame.
If they happen to open the frame one day, they will probably throw it in a drawer, or ask someone about it. We throw blessed salt on the floor and the sweeper gets it. So I wouldn’t worry about the scapular if they find it.
