Green Scapular

Hello! I’ve been reading alot on this site and I’ve seen many references to the green scapular. Could someone please help out this new RCIA girl and explain it to me??

Before my wife was Catholic, I hid one right next to her side of the bed. 🙂

It holds many miraculous promises. One that I remember is the friend whose wife came to me and told me that her husband’s uncle had been given a few days to live, canser. I knew that she was an Anglican although her husband was not. I asked if she believed that Jesus could heal illnesses, she said yes and at that I gave her a green scapular.
She was a little mistified since they don’t believe in such happinings.

I told her that she didn’t even have to pray just believe. She agreed and I prayed, I didn’t see them for a month and when I did I asked her how her uncle was. She said that Dr’s didn’t know what hwas happening and that her husbands uncle getting better.
One month latter again I met the couple and asked how his uncle was and he told me that Dr’s are bewildered because the uncle got up healed and is now back at work, completely healed.
