Hi. I’m lori welsh and am so happy to have found these forums. I married into a catholic family. I wasn’t really religious in my younger years. I hope to learn more about catholicism and want to embrace the religion. i have an 8 year old son who recieves his first confession tonight so since we are raising him catholic, i want to “get on top of things”.

Hi, Lori, I gather you yourself are not Catholic or had drifted away. You will find a lot of good information on these forums as well as some not so good. If you really want to get a good understanding of what it means to be a Catholic, www.catholic.com has a lot of on-line “booklets” on different aspects of our Faith. Also if your parish has a Knights of Columbus Council they should be able to lead you too some on-line courses on Catholicism. Actually if you go to www.kofc.com there may be a link to them. Its part of what they call CIS or Catholic Information Services which also has hard copy booklets available as well. Hope you enjoy hanging around. Richard
