Grounds for an Annullment

I just want to add to, why should God suffer for our stupidity and making wrong decisions. If we rush into marriage or just plainly choose the wrong person, and it falls apart in the future, that is our own fault, not God’s. .

God’s suffering is in the suffering of Christ on the Cross wherein he takes upon himself all our sin and folly. We are not “punishing God” when we have recourse to the laws of the Church he gave us.

If an individual refuses to seek an annulment, and considers himself married until death, that is a perfectly valid choice, but it is not an indictment of canonical due process and the authority of the Church to determine the nature and conditions of that process.
