Grounds for Annulment - No Pre Cana?

Hello,

Background: Myself and my ex spouse were married in a PRotestant church and the marriage was convalidated shortly after that. We did not go to Pre Cana before convalidation.

Is the fact we did not attend Pre Cana considered the “improper form” that is usually grounds for annulment? Just wondering.

No, that’s not what that term means. The “form” refers to the actual setting of the exchange of marital consent (i.e., the “wedding”). The form requires the properly authorized minister (priest/deacon) who asks for and receives the consent of the man and woman as well as two other people who witness this exchange of consent.

I also did not have any “pre cana” whatsoever but I certainly fulfilled all the requirements of canonical form.
