“PRRI conducts a number of major national surveys focused on issues such as immigration reform, climate change, LGBT issues, abortion, and pluralism.” (from their website). For some reason that statement does not inspire my confidence in their neutrality.

Probably not. It will mean a need for more government facilities, and liberals are all for more and bigger government.

I really don’t understand what you Americans are on about.

here in Australia things like the contraceptive pill are PBS subsidised by the Govt. and it’s not an issue for the bulk of christians and non-christians alike.

if u don’t believe in using such thing then don’t use them yourselves, but I see no reason why you guys are trying to force your opinions and beliefs on others.

you should let the govt do it’s thing and you guys as Christians just pay ur taxes and “render unto caesar what belongs to caesar!”

let those who want Abortion and contraception in health care plans have them…what business is it of yours??? just don’t do it yourselves.

it’s the same thing with gay marriage…why fight it? some people are gay, many people don’t think of it as a sin, if you guys do then don’t get a gay marriage yourselves, but why stop others from a civil marriage?

I don’t know why Americans and in particular American Catholics are so fundamentalist about these things. Im an ex Catholic myself with alot of Catholic friends and very devout Catholic family and they are all horrified by the what comes out of the anti-Obama camp and from the Catholic Church in the USA.

thank Jove we have true separation of church and state here! not the pseudo-separation of the US!

Get a good laugh at my expenses… He was Black (I was born in Africa though I am not black), now i see he is not black, he simply is not totally white as his mother was white. He is handsome. Now I realize that not all the glitters is gold. He speaks well. So do all the people who want to mislead someone (how do you call those in English?). He came after Bush. But then anyone who came after Bush would receive the Nobel Prize (even my cat or dog…)

There is no such thing as “separation of church and state” because it can mean anything you want. As such, it is a meaningless concept.*

Oh, yes, there is separation of Church and State…when it’s the Church forcing views on the State, but not when the State is forcing views on the Church.😉
 
Contraception isn’t even really the issue. This could effect so many infringements on freedom of religion in the future it is scary. The Constitution was give a black eye by this Obama administration, and if not reversed could cause damage to religion I’m the future:)
