Two questions:

Do our guardian angels have names or are we supposed name them?

And

At what moment do we receive our guardian angel?

I love learning about this, so tell me anything, fun facts and all!

Guardian angels have names but they are not revealed to us, and we certainly aren’t supposed to name them ourselves. Giving a name implies that you have authority over the one being named and we don’t have authority over the angels. More info:

Okay, thank you! My roomies and I were talking about it. Know anything about when we receive them?

An older man at church told me that he named his Guardian Angel “ George “ of all things.
I looked at him somewhat funny -
he said, “ I know, I know, we’re not supposed to name our Angel “
He shrugged it off —
As for names…we name downwards - the pecking order, you could say.
Adam named the animals - lower -
Parents name babies - lower -
Man - is a little lower than the angels…says a psalm

I have heard it said - the POPE has Micheal as his angel -

And when we die - our GAURDIAN ANGEL is the first thing we see.
The angel knows us better than our own mother ,

Prayer good for partial indulgence (fourth edition 1999 Enchiridion Indulgentiarum: Normae et Concessiones):
Angel of God my guardian dear, to whom his love entrusts me here, enlighten and guard, rule and guide me. Amen.
