Guardian Angels.

What are they per-say? I know its a dumb question, but I’m not a smart Catholic.🤷
 
Angel of God, my Guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light, to guard, to rule and guide. Amen
Sounds like they are given us by God to keep us on the right path to Him, they behold His face and guard us from evil and guide us to good.
 
There is a passage in Scripture about the angels, hold on, I’m going look it up:Psalm 91:10-13. They are heavenly beings to guard, watch over and pray for us, they always behold the face of God, another Scripture verse, hold on, going look that one up, Matthew 18:10. Anyway I am sure that there are more wiser souls on this board who can explain it better than I ever could. God Bless.
 
When I was a little girl I used to have a photo of a guardian angel guarding two kids crossing a bridge. If I would wake up scared during the night I would just ask my angels to take care of me while I looked at the photo.

Presently, I am an older gal… and every time I am on the freeway I call on my angels to take care of me when people start to drive crazy and reckless.
Any time I sense danger around me I immediatly call on my angels to come and keep me safe.

I talk to them and say, "Angels I need you now!! “Please take care of me”. AND THEY DO TAKE CARE OF ME ALWAYS.
