I am almost 100% sure that I confessed a sin before receiving my Confirmation, however I am not completely sure if I did. It was some time ago as well, so that is why I am unsure. I am almost positive that I did, but am not 100% certain. Do I still need to go to Confession? What should I do?

Clarification: I have already received my confirmation a couple of years ago. I committed a sin before my confirmation. I know I confessed this sin already, but what I do not remember is if I confessed it before my confirmation or after.

I think you know the answer. At least better than strangers on the internet.

I think I will just go to confession just in case and explain to the priest that I am almost certain that I did not do this, but I was not 100% sure.

Discussing it with your priest in confession and following what he says is always the best strategy when you are not sure if something is a sin.

In the confessional, you are absolved of all sins you have ever committed, not just ones you confessed (for example if you forget to confess a sin, God forgives it through absolution). You have been absolved of this sin whether you confessed it or not.

However, if it is on your heart, it is a good idea to confess it in the confessional.
