I’m kind of embarrassed to admit that I don’t really know how to pray the rosary. I’ve owned rosary beads for a long time now, but never really learned how to use them. Does anyone have a good (online) guide on how to pray the rosary? It’d be much appreciated.

I’m in the process of being initiated and found that being guided through the rosary in person was a lot more helpful than any website or manual. Every guide I’ve looked at skipped over different parts of the rosary and some of them were not consistent in what I have been taught regarding the use of the knots for prayers.

It was kind of like my experience with mass. The first few dozen masses I experienced I did not bother with trying to follow using the missal, I just experienced the mass like a child would. Now that I have more of an idea about what goes on, and continued to work with the missal, I follow the order of mass better.

to down load a 2-d rosary to use as a template on your computer-i have virtual rosary 5.2 (for you to google)-it can be downloaded-perhaps to different devices …it gives a picture with each bead (graphically pictured in sequence as a little circle image to represent each bead), and each bead has a different scripture; i usually pray with one image in mind as booklets provide a short summary, of each mystery; as per above, there would be ten separate meditations-if you are not opposed to the big picture-i tried once and succeeded to pray all the mysteries, from the angel’s greeting to the crowning of mary: then, anyways that seem to be an improved understanding; if appropriate now, i would pass along that the rosary is still simple…and remains simple…hope that helps…patrick
