Guild restrictions and "Unsolved Mysteries"

On the FAQ page of the official site for the Unsolved Mysteries TV series, it is said that segments from the show cannot be allowed on YouTube because of “guild restrictions in place when the show was created.” What do CAF members think the webmaster means by “guild restrictions”?

That would be my guess, too. The FAQ had this to say: “For episodes to be available on Netflix or Hulu, those services would have to purchase the episodes.” Presumably, Youtube isn’t willing to pay royalties to the actors.

Screen actors guild. You might more readily recognize them by the acronym SAG. As in the SAG award show.
That’s my guess.
