when I get a hankering for something sweet and there’s nothing in the house I’ll mix together some icing sugar, cocoa, butter and milk to make a sweet icing-like concoction.
Seagal,
I do the same thing! I take a few spoonfuls of store-bought icing and mix in some walnuts and sometimes put chocolate syrup on top. Extremely rich! Extremely yummy!

Ok… here we go:

Desperate Housewives, Bee Gees, South Park, Soap Operas-- Guiding Light, Carpenters  , Elvis

Mine is with the internet, not necessarily with TV. I don’t even watch it hardly except for the news. The Gieco commercials are pretty funny.

But, there are couple of them, let’s see; King of the Hill, Simpsons, Everybody loves Raymond (can’t believe I even watch that), Seinfeld (some episodes are just not worth the time). Like I say I don’t really watch these shows anymore, just occassionally.

Glad to see that two people mentioned frosting. For me, it’s Betty Crocker vanilla frosting, refrigerated.

And John Waters movies, especially the early ones. Very guilty.

(Although I watched “Multiple Maniacs” so many times that I ended up learning the Stations of the Cross from it. So that’s something, anyway.)

Guiding Light
OM gosh - sorry guys - but I just couldn’t believe there’s another GL fan here on the forums, I had to represent as well. :o 😃

Computer video games (Real Arcade, PopCap, Gamehouse)
Sudoku (yeah, the CAF thread on this got me started)

…and chalk another one up for the Bee Gees!

What a great topic!!! Guilty pleasures…hmmmm mine aren’t quite as ummmm how can I say this…ok I confess…I love to embarass my children. They are all teens and very sensitive to certain subjects. I love to bring up topics that make them “uncomfortable” such as chastity, contraception, girls, boys…etc. At least they are learning issues, but every now and then I say things like, “OK kids mom is going to bed now, and I might not be sleeping but I don’t want to be disturbed” They go nuts!!! It’s like ewwwwww mom I don’t want to hear that mom is human or normal…I never say anything explicit but they get really embarrassed…it is too funny!!!

Serenity, and the Firefly series. All that about the Companion being highly respectable and lending class to the operation (she’s a high-class hooker) is pretty stupid and illogical, but aside from that it was a great series.
It’s not illogical. It’s ironic. It drives home just what a lawless, disrespectable society the world of the show is. Furthermore, as a matter of fact there are societies in history (not “Wild West” type societies at that) where courtesans had this kind of role–ancient Athens, 19th-century Paris, traditional Japan. . . .

Most country music has a good message although a few have a good deal of questionable content.I must admit I love to crank up Big & Rich.

OK, once in a while if I’m in the car alone I flip from the Catholic talk radio station I usually listen to…to…the heavy rock station that I USED to listen to. Loud. Real loud. After a good headbanging, I’m back to my new, quieter self 😉

Two of my favorite shows. I’m still in disbelief that Chloe won over Daniel last night. Daniel was just so young and cute, and I would wear most of his beautiful clothes, if I could afford them. My poor husband, he puts up with this, just rolls his eyes and hides out in the study…

Along with a previous poster, I too love the “Go Fug Yourself” website. Hey, if celebs are going to appear in public in some of those getups, the rest of us should get maximum entertainment value out of it.

I also enjoy “Firefly” and “Farscape”. Those are the only two sci-fi shows I can stand, mainly because there’s so much bizarre humor alongside the great story arcs. “If wishes were horses, we’d all eat steak.” (Jayne, “Firefly”)

I suppose Grand Theft Auto qualifies, but as it isn’t real I don’t feel guilty about it at all.

Oh dear. I can’t believe I can admit this.

Deadwood,The Sopranos, The Shield and before it ended, Carnivale.
