Still stuck on Russian conspiracy theories I see.
not theories at all
the verse certainly doesn’t appear to support any sort of general right for everyone to have a weapon
it does support the right of self defense since it was in context of going out and preaching the gospel in the future on their own without Him.
Who is that"he"? And who is that “Russian”? Putin?
he is the president

Driving is a privilege. Keeping and bearing arms is a right. Big difference,

A gun maybe needed in those situations, but a semi-automatic or an automatic probabily isn’t.
I don’t know about other people, but I own an AR-15 for one reason only: To defend liberty and to protect myself against government tyranny.

I don’t know about you, but I’d sure hate to rely on a single shot weapon.

I bought an IWI Tavor for the purpose of home defense. AR’s are just too bulky. If weren’t in town, I’d go with the AK-47, but even 7.62x39 will blow through a frame house like it wasn’t there.

I actually haven’t tried Buffalo Bore, yet. The Ruger Blackhawk I just picked up is an over built tank, but I still don’t want to test its limits. Hornaday +P does well. I qualified it the day I bought it, using regular factory FMJ loads. It will be a bit sartorially challenging to conceal, tho.
Hi-Points are a joke. 🤣

Let’s not kid ourselves the world is going to hell in a hand-basket.
I’d argue we live in the safest and most peaceful time in human history.
I took my gun courses and passed and went to apply for my license but my wife will not sign for me. In Canada you need character witnesses to apply for your licence.
She doesn’t want guns in the house or me having one.
Then you don’t get one.
Am I committing a sin purchasing a gun for that purpose without a license?
Yes.

Buddy buddy, walk with me a second. I know you feel you have that right and to a degree, I agree with you. However, let me tell you this… whatever weapon you have, they have tactics and weapons that outclasses you at every turn. You want to hold them off at gunpoint you are playing a losing game.

which one? ever see it in .41 cal
Mine’s the Bisley convertible .45, model 0475. Now on my permit, lol. ACP is so much easier to find than Colt, and cheaper. So I’ll carry .45 ACP +P Hornaday Critical Duty jhp’s. Switch to heavy fmj’s if hiking. It’s black bear unfriendly for sure.

Would be fun to handle a .41 Magnum. I used to have the .44 Magnum with the bull (10-1/2") barrel. That one was really fun, and turned heads at the range!

I don’t live in Commie-fornia. i see the 10 round mags have done wonders to fix Commie-fornia’s crime problems. But, wait… with dems in overwhelming control over there, they’re going to get even tougher on guns and softer on criminals and illegals.

I don’t like .41Rem Mag. Unless you hand load, there isn’t a “special” equivalent. None of the .357 or .44Mag revolvers I have are loaded with magnum loads. Modern loads, such as the Cor-Bon DPX line or Speer’s short barrel .38Sp+P cover the calibre range pretty well without the fuss, muss, and bother of a magnum load.

Well, as I’ve said before around here, there are many of us in the northeastern part of California who want to separate and form a 51st state–Jefferson. Might not have much chance but there’s a lot of support.

Sierra black bear get big. That’s why I got a big frame Ruger.

One thing i wonder is if technology gets to the point that guns are made less effective then laser swords, like Dune or Star Wars. I wonder if it would revive ancient warrior codes that were made extinct due to guns. Both the Samurai and Knights were made extinct due to the dawn of the gun.
And wonder if people would use laser swords.

Laser Swords won’t be able to compete with long range plasma weapons.

Me by myself would not be able to hold my own against the government, but that is not the point. It is an armed citizenry as a whole who keeps the government in check.

Besides, military might does not guarantee a victory. Once upon a time there was a small ragtag army made up of untrained citizen soldiers, all carrying privately owned guns, that was able to defeat the most powerful military empire in world of the day. Maybe you’ve heard of this little kerfuffle. It was the American Revolutionary War. And don’t forget the time the big bad United States got its butt handed to it by a bunch of peasant rice farmers in a place called Viet Nam.

So, no. I’m confident that a large-scale citizen uprising would prevail.

Not to mention all the military and LE personnel who are conservative and gunbjwners and would side with the people.
