Absolutely right and, “armed and free,” that drives them crazy. Armed and free and resisting their radical social engineering agenda.

Sadly, Rodney continued his perp ways afterward and wound up drinking and drugging himself to death.

It’s only the strong and powerful that are “armed and free”. The vulnerable are 4 times more likely to be murdered in the US than in any other western country. It’s a culture of violence lauded by the powerful.
 
I didn’t invent the description of “Make My Day”. This is a phrase is wide use to describe these laws.

Do think it’s okay to kill in the protection of property when no threat of harm exists to you personally?

Catholic teachings teach people to respect the sanctity of life and to not take a another human being’s life without a strong moral reason for doing so.

Do you people fantasize about people breaking into your house so you can shoot them?

Yes! There’s a little range in the high Sierra that’s all steel targets. When I was there there was just a local Cerakote guy and his CHP Academy friend. And a dad teaching his boys to shoot black powder rifles. I love seeing fathers and sons at a range! And daughters too, of course!

That doesn’t say anything about whether or not someone is more likely or not to die if they have a gun. That just means that the US has a gun violence problem.
 
Your first source is an opinion piece from a pro-gun website and your second one says nothing about gangs at all.

Do you have any actual evidence that shows that 80+% of gun crimes are committed by gangs?

Yeah, really. Some of the nicest people I’ve met have been at gun ranges. People who wouldn’t go out of their way to hurt a fly. Just don’t invade their homes or break in while they and their children are sleeping.
 
Who is your post addressed to?

If it’s to me, no I don’t hope that someone breaks into my house in order for me to “exercise my second amendment right.”

I hope I don’t ever have to be put into the position of defending my life or the lives of those who are entrusted to me.

If I’m put into such a position I will (by God’s grace) defend myself and those around me using any means at my disposal, including but not limited to my firearm which is legally purchased, registered, and legally carried here on my property.
 
It was directed the prayerrider poster, but since you responded:

Will you exhaust all non-violent means to diffuse the situation before resorting to gun violence? Or will you shoot first and justify later? Would you retreat if you had the opportunity to do so?
