My pastor said during announcements that there was a parish somewhere in Iraq (forget where exactly), that several militiamen entered the church and mowed down the congregation with machine gun and assault rifles. 75 casualties with the priest himself having been murdered.

Tonight, I will pray for the victims of the massacres as well as their families. As well as for the priest and clergy that were killed and wounded, and for their flocks that they might somehow recover from this most traumatic of ordeals. I shall also pray for those that have been made to endure such horrors for being innocently caught in the crossfire of such chaotic conflicts as war, violence, and persecution.
