Guys, you gotta let me know about trolls or spam

Just send a notice.
I have many other things that take me away from the forums, and its a lot easier to review the notices rather than search the threads for them.
You veteran members know what I am talking about. They are pretty easy to spot.

Is there a way to ban certian prazes? I’ve reported 3-5 “third fatima secret” nonsense posts in the last couple of months and seen other posts disappear before I had the chance to report. Many times the links are to other forums that call themselves “Real Catholic” or “Catholics without censorship”
 
Oh! That sounds like fun. I always wanted to be in law enforcement… 😉
 
I’ve only reported a troll once to the Mod’s.

Instead of banning the troll, they banned me instead…

Realizing their mistake via members PM’s as well as mine, they realized they banned the wrong person.

They got rid of the troll and placed me back as a regular member.

Sorry to say… but… due to this stressful experience with the unnecessary infraction…

I’ve stopped reporting trolls & let the others do it…!!

Sorry for your experience. During porn raids, all the mods try to remove them as quickly as possible and ban the posters, hopefully faster than they can post. It happens, all we can do is apologize and restore your account.
 
Spammers are more “sophisticated” than they used to be. Instead of starting a thread selling their product they will infiltrate a thread with something like:
“Oh that’s a really good point!” and then link their product.
Unless reported, it can sit there waiting for some unsuspecting lurker to click on the link…and their computer is infested with a virus.
The faster you report them, they faster we can delete them.

Don’t quit. I had the same thing happen to me once. It was so obvious what happened I had a good laugh even though I couldn’t post for a few hours. Mistakes happen, but they are corrected quickly. The moderators here need all the help they can get.
