I saw a sister at mass today in her habit and I was just curious if anyone could tell me what order she is from.

Her tunic was a light brown, not quite tan, but lighter than the standard crayola brown. She had a dark brown scapular over it. She had a white veil, not the kind that goes around her face, but the kind that covers the top of her head and her hair. It was quite long, a bit below her waist.

She could be a carmelite… But she also could be some Order of active nun, maybe a Dominican. You should go and ask her next time you see her

If so, then she is an active Carmelite Sister. This picture is from the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus but there are several Carmels that share a similar habit.
