I desire to receive Communion but I keep falling into a habitual sin I have been battling my entire life. 😦 It’s frustrating. And now I am learning that it’s a ā€œmortal sin?ā€ THIS IS FRIGHTENING!! I want to get into Heaven. I want my entire family to get into Heaven! Catholicism is so much harder that what the Protestant Evangelists have said salvation was. Confession is on Saturdays. I would like to receive communion before then. 😦

It’s a cross to bear. You do need to overcome this sin that keeps popping up. God will forgive you every time. No limits to his mercy.

Pray for guidance. How will help.

Seek a priest and discuss at confession if need be.

God loves you šŸ‘

Do a search on this forum for suggestions on how to overcome your particular sin. It may be you are not alone at all. Hang in there, utilize the confessional, and always try to keep improving. :o

Now you see more clearly what Our Lord meant when tells us to ā€œstrive to enter by the narrow gate.ā€ Habitual sin requires habitual vigilance, repentance, and also hope. Try not to become discouraged. Bring your concerns to your confessor when you can, and God bless you.

After the sin, make an act of love and sorrow to Jesus for your sin. Look at the crucifix and gaze upon it to remind you of his love for you. Then pour out your soul to him. Then he will come back into your soul again. Then if you go to Mass and haven’t been able to go to confession yet, just make a spiritual communion with him which is just like the actual communion except that you don’t actually receive the Eucharist.

May God our Father give you grace and peace.
