Hagee says Jesus didn't come to earth to be the Messiah

But I thought the Holy Spirit was supposed to reveal the infallible truth the every individual Christian, as long as they read the Bible! It seems that this particular protestant read the Bible and decided it said that Jesus ISN’T the Messiah! How 'bout that?

If only we had some sort of competent authority for the interpretation of Scripture:shrug:…

Brilliant! If only the Apostles had left us something other than just Scripture, something that helped us understand Scripture, so this sort of thing wouldn’t happen!:doh2:

I knew he was always Anti-Catholic but I can’t believe he has gone this far to basically deny Jesus as the Messiah!!!

I agree that it seems to be he is becoming Anti-Christian as well!!!
 
His mega church is filled every weekend. Why, I don’t know. If he really believes that Jesus didn’t come down here to be the Messiah, he is a complete nutjob.
 
So, what does he think Jesus came to earth for? I hope he still maintains that Jesus came to save us. His church is filled because he is a dynamic preacher (I’ve listened to him enough to know).

I have been posting on Rev. Hagee for sometime now, and been watching his television shows even longer.
This claim about Jesus not being the Messiah is meant as a way to bolster his other claim that the Jews do NOT have to acknowledge Jesus to be saved. I will try to describe what I believe he is saying. By not being the Political Messiah as the Jews of the 1st century were seeking then the jews could reject Him and thereby leave open the salvation coming to the pagans.
Once the pagans have all been saved then God is free to turn his gaze back to the Jews “the apple of God’s eye” (Hagee - pick a tv broadcast). Then after the rapture of the church God will send the Jews to Petra where He will indeed allow the Jewish remnent to be brought into Heaven i.e. saved in some fashion.
What it all comes down to is that God is allowing non-jews to be saved through Jesus but that “God has never recinded his covenent with either Abraham or Moses” ( Hagee- pick a broadcast). In this way God is in fact using Christians to shame and punish the Hebrew Nation.
It is all very convoluted. He never broadcasts a complete “sermon series” so that ‘you’ will have to buy the tape/dvd. and or his books.
He is in fact preaching heresy when says Jews need not accept Jesus in direct contradiction of Jesus’ own words. ( I know Jesus said them cause I have a red letter edition KJ).
Rev. Hagee claims to have spent 2 years in deep study and research for the book he hawks in the youtube video but if a person simply goes to and good encyclopedia on th Crussades they will see that Rev. Hagee is even re-writing history for his own benefit in an attempt to smear the One True Church and for whatever reason ‘defend’ the Jews.👍

It is God’s discretion to appoint or send a ProphetMessenger, not of men to reject or bypass a ProphetMessenger. Denial of even one Prophet tantamount denying all the Prophets and rebellion against GodAllahYHWH. This is explicitly mentioned in Quran.

There are a lot of people in his area with itching ears, and he tickles them at JUST the right spot!
 
It doesn’t have to be in the Bible to be true. That is a protestant error. To really know someone, just get to know their mother - That will tell you more about that person than anything.

I don’t think so, since he still sees Jesus as dying on the cross for sins…He also denies Jesus being the Messiah, which even Muslims believe…

After listening to this ad a few times, it sounds as though he’s not saying that Jesus isn’t the Messiah, but rather, that Jesus himself never made such a claim for the Jews to understand. He’s doing what the book says: Defending the state of Israel by making excuses. I think that this is something that both Christians and Muslims can agree is wrong…What does everyone else think?

In my opinion Muslims cannot believe in the preachings of Paul, since as per Quran/Islam/Muhammad, Paul’s teachings are against the teachings of JesusYeshua as elaborated in Quran. Paul is a self-made apostle not a ProphetMessenger of GodAllahYHWH appointed and sent by GodAllahYHWH as per Quran/Islam/Muhammad .

There is not a single Muslim in the world who believes that Jesus died a cursed death on Cross, wherefrom all the Pauline teachings ( the basics of the present day Christianity )originate.

Hagee cannot be a Muslim, since he follows Paul and believes that Jesus died a cursed death on Cross.

I respect your religion.
