I think women look better with long hair - AND - you can donate it to Locks of Love. (Can’t do that w/ short hair.)

And then you have short hair! My son had a waist length pony tail and had to go to court for non-moving vehicle issues. I dragged him to a place where they cut it for Locks of Love and were pretty thrilled with getting that huge hunk of very thick hair.

My own hair is yucky. I had beautiful, thick, curly hair that weighed a ton when I was young, and now I have dry, limp, frizzy, thin hair that’s full of medication. It doesn’t look good long, it doesn’t look short; the most I can hope for is neat.

My hair isn’t my crowning glory, and there are many other women just like me. We cut our hair short because it’s the best we can do. I don’t really want to spend a lot of time working on hair that will look like I just took a nap in the backseat of the car anyway.

And sorry about the divorce.

I live with my dad since my mother died and he has always preferred short hair on women over the age of 40. One of my sisters has hair just below her shoulders and he tells her that at 56, it’s time to cut it off. Mom had short hair most of her life. There wasn’t a sweeter, more feminine woman on earth. She was never pretty, but always very attractive in her unique way.
