Yes!
Try doing any of the Corporal Works of Mercy! Saint Mother Teresa certainly grew much in her faith through her merciful ministering to the poor!

While doing the Corporal Works of Mercy is a great idea, I am afraid I don’t really have any time to do volunteer work because I am either going to college, working, drowning in homework, or finally getting a chance to relax for a short bit.Yes!

However, I don’t feel safe giving money to beggars or picking up hitchhikers though.

Have you ever tried saying a morning offering? It is a very short and simple act of offering your day to God for His greater glory and honor and the salvation of souls. Then everything you do becomes a prayer to God!

Good! Sounds like you are off to a good start!However, I don’t feel safe giving money to beggars or picking up hitchhikers though.
As for giving money to the poor? You can start by putting money in the second offering at church (usually a collection taken up for some catholic charity.)
Also, buying a bag of groceries (or a gift card) to someone who recently lost their job or a visit to an elderly or sick neighbor or family member.

Growing your faith takes some amount of investing your time. What about daily mass? Even once or twice a week is beneficial.

I often go to Friday daily Mass for confession because I work Saturday afternoons a lot. I enjoy it!

Take time for prayer at the beginning and end of each day. That way, we are starting and ending our days with God on our minds. I think that practice is essential for any practicing Christian. It only has to be 5 minutes too. Give it a shot!!
