I went to see this film. It is the first time I have ever walked out on a movie. I had to leave during the first scene because I could not watch the part with the little girl. When they kept flashing back to it, I left the theatre. It was a very disturbing and dark film.
I just looked up the USCCB rating and found it was morally offensive. I wish I would have checked that before I went and saved myself pain, consternation and fifteen bucks.

Being a fan of the previous Hannibal Movies, I am probly gonna watch this one. It does look darker though, and is probably gonna butcher the story up, and instead use the violence and torture that have been in way to many movies. The Hills have Eyes, Texas Chainsaw massacre (newer one), Saw 1,2, and 3, Hostel, and the new Hills have eyes, just to name a few.
It will be a an ok film for a Hannibal fan, but I dunno if it can really separate itself from the other “horror” films. The best positive thing about the film, is if you have read the books, this movie will show you how Hannibal’s mind become so messed up. It looks like it could be a good film.
Go watch it at your expense, you might have to leave like pnewton did, and be out the money.

This is not very nice, because i did enjoy the movie, as well as the other books/movies, cause i like serial killer/psychological thrillers. I am very interested in psychology, and i find the Hannibal series very interesting.
I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, and not only did it stick to the books, but the movie conveyed the trauma of the whole Nazi occupation in the 2nd world war. The actors should be commended for capturing the emotional trauma of the events at hand.
I look inward to my own psyche all the time, which leaves me no time to look at or criticize others psyche’s

I would not put that book or movie in my head.
Being a fan of the book, Silence of the Lambs and the movie (which I thought well done and not gratuitiously violent) , I read the book Hannibal.
I wish I never had. I will have those awful thoughts in my mind forever. I told everyone I knew afterward to not read that book and to not see the movie.
I think Thomas Harris just continues with this character because it sells a lot of books and so makes Lecter more and more violent and vile in each successive novel.
