The Egyptians believed in a god named ‘Horus’. He was apparently born on December 25th to a virgin, Meri or Isis. During his life he was baptized, died, and resurrected three days later. Many religions followed the same story of their god, even Christians and Catholic.

December 24th is the day before Christmas, Christmas Eve (which the names are irrelevent). On that day, the star Sirius (brightest star in the sky) aligns with the three stars of the name Three Kings by some people. The “Three Kings” follow the brightest star, Sirius, to find the sun (or Son Of God). This is in the Orions Belt if you would like to know about it.

I am conducting a research on my blog. If this is offensive, I deeply apologize. If you would like to know the name of my blog which is read by hundreds of people, please send me a PM and I will tell you the link if I am not banned by then.

Please do not ban me. I would like to have this to stay up in one hour, then banned and deleted. In that hour I will post the responses and discuss something, depending on the response.

EDIT: Clarified the post a little more.

Never heard of any of it. Where do you get your information from?

These are factual information obtained on the internet from many different sources.

If you like, I can name a few.

Welcome to CAF!

There is a Non-Catholic forum on this website for your post to reside. You should respect the CAF’s policy then you would have no need to mention about banning or deleting.

The hour’s up.

You do not have to ban me, I will just leave altogether. I did not read the policy and I did not take a gander at the other boards to see the Non-Catholics one. I apologize for my actions and now I must leave.

😦

And as for my blog, it’s best no one see it. I will apologize to my readers as I apologized to you.

G’day.

I don’t see why you are so worried. Your post is alright. You are welcome to discuss about your faith with others. We all are here - Catholic, non-Catholic Christian, Atheist, etc … we all follow the same website’s rules.

Moved to Apologetics where it will no doubt receive more responses and better.

No ban or charity issues.

I don’t believe a word of it. So prove your “facts” using legitimate sources before continuing.

BTW, that bit about a virgin named “Meri” is so typical of this nonsense. Hey people, the mother of Christ was not called Mary during her lifetime! The Holy Family did not speak English!

No need to leave, but you do need to know that your notions are not new ones and have been thoroughly answered and refuted many times and in many places.

If you are open to discussion, here are some resources you need to read before making any conclusions:

Good stuff! 👍

It is soooo easy for people to make assertions about Pagan this and pagan that. Heck…you can read similarities into about anything.

Plus it makes no sense that the apostles fabricated an elaborate hoax and then managed to con Saul of Tarsus into believing it. Then rather than give up the hoax they and many others were martyred for the fabrication. Equally amazing, with all the people around who would have known the truth no one came forward to dispute it (in on the big Christian conspiracy I suppose). Not to mention that if they were making up the story they were very unusual in portraying themselves as cowardly in some cases and chosing women as witnesses when they were of little value in terms of testimony. Tsk…tsk. Not only did they con Saul but a gentile named Luke as well. {Sorry for poking fun but these flights of fantasy about Christianity being a stolen myth are silly. Not only do we have the apostles but we have people connected who wrote letters. They all did not figure out these people were figments of their imagination?? Or they continued the conspiracy for generations?? The myth premise is not supportable by logic or fact}.

Of course not. They always spoke in flawless Latin:rolleyes:
