I guess nothing wrong per se but sometimes the tithing topic gets REALLY old. It seems like every other talk is tithing blah blah blah, and it really gets to make the Church looks quite greedy. I DO understand donations are important, they are why the church has money to make its bills, etc. But I have two big gripes: 1. every tithing dollar goes straight to Salt Lake and then they apportion back a pittance to our ward and then we have to mow our own lawns and clean our own building and 2. that there is NO public accounting of tithing funds. Any other church I’ve attended beside the LDS church makes everything public. Just sayin…And the problem with this is what? They are not asking you to let your family starve. If you are needing money that badly and you still tithe, it is highly likely that you are getting more value (dollar amount) in food from the storehouse than you are paying in tithing.
