I will readily admit that I’m one of those who is easily distracted by antsy and noisy children at mass – probably because I’m single and am not used to being around them. However, this evening at mass, I saw/heard the sweetest thing so I thought I would post a happy-children-at-mass sighting.
During one of the songs that we always sing at mass, I heard something; but didn’t know what it was. I turned and looked, and across the aisle and two pews back was a little boy whom I later found out had just turned four was singing at the top of his lungs. It just put a smile on my face. I could hear him all through mass singing the songs that he knew.
After mass I approached his parents and told them how much I enjoyed listening to him sing. They smiled. And when I told him how much I enjoyed him singing, he just beamed.
