Christ is Risen! Death grasped hold of Life, and died. The darkness attempted to surround the Light, and was banished. Praise the Lord.
“Easter Dancing”
Amen, Alleluia, amen, amen!
The Lord of the Ages has conquered death!
The God, full-incarnate as Man, for all men!
The glorified Christ has now drawn dawn’s first breath!
The Life of the World is alive once more.
The Light of the World has rejoiced anew!
The Flame that consumed our disease to the core!
The Love that descended like heavenly dew!
Arise, you Benighted, you mournful sheep!
Arise, O you hearts; you, the lost, the least!
Arise from your death, all your timorous sleep!
Arise in the light of the high paschal feast!
