Of course, blessings to all Anglican brothers and sisters! I’ll keep my champion G-Men out of this 😃
Gurney, Gurney, Gurney… Ur champion G-Men were soooo 2010! 😛

Btw hope you found a better seat at 7 pm. Your experience reminded me of something the priest at my local parish talked about last yr. Some of the regulars were complaining about the crowds and even on Palm Sun not getting as many palms as they wanted because of the visitors. One regular church lady actually demanded she be given more palms and preceded to take them herself. And Father reminded us that it was good people came. Who knows. Perhaps a few would return again before this yr. And if not, it wasn’t really a very Christian thing to do to complain about the visitors he said. That even coming once a yr to hear the Gospel was better than none. So he recommended doing what you did and try another Mass. I know you weren’t complaining btw. Just hope you did find space later. And that you and yours had a most blessed day. 👍

I am new to this site and will have to spend some time becoming familiar with it. I too want to wish a joyous Easter to people of all faiths who post here and believe in the incredible sacrifice our Savior, Jesus Christ, made so we may all, one day, live with Him in Heaven for all eternity.:). God Bless everyone!
Welcome. And I love it when people of all faiths are respected here! :amen: God bless!

But ya can’t take 2010 from us, ha ha ha! he he! And you know what? We’ll work the kinks out. Lincecum is having a shaky start like last year. He’ll work it out. Panda is better this year, we have Cody all year this time, Brandon Belt will get called up sooner or later. You can run, but you can’t hide. We’re a post-all-star game team man, you know that! 😛

I just got back from church, not happening for us this morning evidently. All the once-a-year Catholics are there and there wasn’t one pew left. I felt like an Orthodox having to stand up! 😛 Anyway…we’ll go back to the 7pm Mass. That place was packed!

May you have a blessed Easter, Jakasaki!
A most blessed and happy Easter to you too, GH…

Good thing my kids were serving in the mass today, we had to be early, so we got a seat and did not have to park far.

👍

The early Mass was so busy I planned on going to the 7pm Mass. Problem—I came down with a viral infection and have been DOWN for the count…I feel like I take a trip to the bathroom every ten minutes! 😛 My whole family, except my wife, has been sick so we missed Easter. I’m bummed…

That having your kids altar serve, that worked out for ya! Forced motivation to get there early 😛

Hi there Gurney ~ et al ~

Just wanted to share a little tidbit about Orthodox Christians…

For the next 50 days, Orthodox Christians will greet each other with a celebratory greeting of Cristos Anesti “Christ is Risen.”

In response, one replies Alithos Anesti or “Truly He is Risen.” This greeting serves an affirmation of faith and a celebration of the resurrection.

This week is known as “Bright Week” as the feast of Pascha continues.

It’s the only time of year when there is **no **fasting allowed.

Best regards
Pam

😊 Edit to add:

I hope my post didn’t break any CAF rules… 🤷 :o

At this Nazarene Church (they call themselves “Naz” now) they had after their egg hunt Sunday a re-enactment of the ascention into heaven of Our Lord. I thought to myself, "why in some Protestant circles (not all, mind you!) do people act like Jesus came out of the tomb, spent a couple hours with the Apostles, then flew away in a few hours?? 40 days in one day?😛
