Dearest Catholic Brothers and Sisters,

I wish to send you all Happy Easter greetings.

I remember my dear mother who was Lithuanian, she used to boil the eggs and paint them and we had all sorts of treats like chocolate eggs and potatoe salad and sour cream and an awesome Lithuanian specialty in Beetroot Salad which had beans, beet, sour cream eggs and onions and we ate to our hearts content.

Who brought us all together and Who sacrificed that we may have this joy and unity and togetherness? We can never forget the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ and we are forever grateful fand indebted to Him or the fact He laid down His life that we may have life.

Praise be the Lord and may you all have a wonderful Easter!!

Hi Dolphinlove,

I live in a small country town called Muswellbrook. Beautiful Christians all around me. My 92 year old neighbour often brings fruit from his tree and bread and flowers for my wife, and other neighbours grow things like spinach and drop in to share some.

I know Muswellbrook, I’m from Sydney 😊

I was born in Sale my Father in Air Force and now lives in WA where I will be in two weeks! Last times I was in Sydney was 1986 at Mona Vale for International year of peace celebrations. Also was a Darling Harbour in 1992.

The world so small with air travel and the future will see travel in the blink of an eye 🙂

Regards Tony

I remember we used to play a game with the coloured boiled eggs on Easter Sunday.

We would knock the top of two eggs together and the one that cracked lost until it was last man - or egg standing. Ha! Ha! Those were days of so much fun. And mum also made Lithuanian pastries called crustous. They were so yummy.

Of course we went to church first.

Happy Easter to one and all.

Wow, what a wonderful story worldcitizen!

We’ve got the Easter eggs ready. My brother in law is a wonderful Catholic and we will spend 4 days in the southern WA forests eating all the eggs we can muster!!

Maybe a spot of golf…
