My wife wished me happy fathers day as i got ready for work then my 1 year old still asleeep and my 2 year old scurring around watching Mickey Mouse club house … With Mommies help coach Lil Chris to Say Happy Fathers Day Daddy , i love you … was very cute … then as i am walking out the back door to car chris tells me daddy car crash ! So i am lil distrought about driving anywere !! lol

Marie–oh yes, it’s perfectly fine to post that. I have been without my dad since I was 9, so I know your feelings. I miss him so much too , and wished him a happy father’s day. And to our heavenly Father. He has done so much for all of us, so many blessings to count!

I am sorry for the loss of your dad. And to all who are missing their dads today, my prayers going out to you. God bless all those who have helped shape our lives. My dad was such a faithful Catholic, I learned so much from him at a young age about the faith. *

On a humorous note our Priest noted this morning that he was an “Unwed Father” (ba dum dum dum!) as his mother cringed in the back row of the Church, lol!

Joe, Ohhhhhhh I’m sure that remark got quite a reaction from the congregation. :doh2: I had thought about actually sending Father’s Day cards to our two wonderful priests… but somehow, I couldn’t find any card which appropriately expressed the relationship between spiritual fathers… and their children. So… I didn’t do it. :imsorry:

I put 4 white roses on my father’s grave today: one for each of his 4 children – 3 of whom never bother to honor him on this or any other special day.

To all of you on CAF: Whether your father is alive or dead, you can honor him and what he provided by his presence, by vigorously opposing same-sex “marriage.” I assume he didn’t choose such an environment for you, but for at least part of your natural life, loved an actual woman enough to become a parent with her and bring you into the world to enjoy the specialness of his maleness next to his female complement. You were blessed with that coupling in more ways than you will ever know.
