Today marks the glorious day in which American slaves were freed from their shackles of enslavement. Soon it will become a National holiday as it rightly should. A Republican Senator introduced a bill that would make it a holiday…
 
It’s good to commemorate this.
The abolitionists worked very hard for it to happen, slavery was controversial even as it occurred.
Chattel slavery was a terrible blight and shame.
